Programmes for children, families, youth groups and classes

Anyone feel like exploring the wilderness? Anyone with the courage to explore the wilderness? The range of programmes on offer in the Eifel National Park is varied. It is of course also aimed at children and teenagers, regardless of their abilities or disabilities, as well as at their families, and at organised youth groups and school classes. There are even special bus trips for groups and classes, to bring them into the National Park or allow them to be mobile once they get here.

You can choose from the following range of programmes:

  • Our family days-out are organised regularly and are free of charge.
  • Family tours can be booked specially.
  • Wilderness Camps are great fun in the holidays.
  • Our Junior Ranger Programme is open to applications from local children.
  • Whole schools can have themselves certified as National Park schools.
  • Free half-day taster tours allow youth groups and classes to get to know the National Park better.
  • Project days with special themes (all day and free of charge) are also aimed at youth groups and classes.
  • The Kall-Urft Forest Guest House for Young People offers accommodation to children's and youth groups and classes interested in excursions lasting several days.
  • Various free training courses for school and kindergarten teachers are on the programme.

A (German) website for children will allow all younger visitors to prepare for their visit in advance, or check what they have experienced while here. There are quizzes, a research corner and a "creative box", all inviting you to join in.
