Boat tours with a ranger
You can enjoy a special way to experience the National Park from April to October: on the first and third Monday of every month, rangers from the National Park Authority accompany you on a boat trip across a reservoir.
You can check the dates and meeting points in our (German) events calendar.
During the trip, which takes around one hour and 45 minutes, the rangers offer a question and answer session and provide information about the Eifel National Park and its world of flora and fauna.
The jetties are barrier-free. This means that you can easily board the ship in your wheelchair. Despite this, we recommend that wheelchair users bring a chaperone. A disabled toilet is provided on the boat.
No advanced booking is required for the ranger boat tour. However, please contact the Rursee-Schifffahrt company in advance on +49 (0)2446 479 if you are travelling as part of a group. Accompaniment by the ranger is free of charge but a standard ticket price applies to the boat trip. For prices and further information please see the Rursee-Schifffahrt website.
